About one year ago I was diagnosed with bursitis in both hips after an MRI was taken by an orthopedic doctor. He had me go to therapy three times a week for one month and put me on 15mg of meloxicam. I continued with the exercises but after the month still experienced significant pain, especially if I remained on my legs for any length of time. After a few months I decided to go to a rheumatologist. She sent me for a complete body scan and significant blood work. During the 3 visits I had, I received cortisone shots, one in each bursa. No luck, I was still experiencing a lot of pain. Now I started looking for alternative methods.
I started drinking aloe, which is a great natural anti-inflammatory and started visiting Dr. Burton. He asked for a chance to see what he could do and prescribed 3 visits a week for one month. He started with the electrodes and icing my back. He manipulated me and stretched my legs.
It has now been almost one month and I feel like I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. I continue to ice my legs whenever I am sitting down but actually I am beginning to feel like myself again.
Thank-you, Dr. Burton, for working with me and providing care other than shots and medication!
